1999 Laverda 750 S Caren
« on: May 26, 2012, 01:15:42 PM »
Afternoon all!

A buddy of mine is selling his 1999 Laverda 750 S Caren with 8k miles for $2400. I know its a rare bike and it is a beautiful bike. However I also know he is hard on everything he owns and the bike is no different. So it is neglected and they are very hard to get parts for. As of now the bike won't start, which sounds like it may be the starter. It also has some scratches on alot of the body panels and the gauge cluster plastic is cracked. It needs a new chain/sprockets. He bought a carbon fiber front fender for it but the clear is peeling. I'm at a crossroads. I know its rare, I think its pretty and will probably be worth a fair penny in the future. However I know Laverda's are temperamental, impossible to get parts for and this one just needs a lot of love. So the question is, should I buy it or pass on it? Opinions?

Thanks!
