What fuel line

do you guys suggest?
The nice napa lady sent me home with some and it swelled so big it was ridiculous, I knew that was wrong.  Went back and it was vac line!
P.O. had installed hardware store vinyl that had gotten age-hardened.  Nice that you can see that fuel is actually flowing though. 
Napa does have 1/4" fuel line in black however.

hey, how did we end up with fittings in standard (or US) when the entire bike seems to be metric?!

Thanks, you guys are tireless help for us newbs.....how did they do it 15yrs ago without the internet?  Trial and error?

Actually, the fuel line is 5.5 mm, but hard to come by. I've used 1/4" with no problems though.

The honda shop should have 5.5mm fuel line in bulk and sell it to you bt the foot.  The 7/32 vacuum line is equivalent size.  But, as you know the wrong material.

I've used 1/4 line but it falls off or leaks rather easily if not positively clamped.  So, buy some new clamps if you choose that.

I use the big black 1/4" without any clamps and it works fine and as an added bonus i can use the 1/4" inline filters available at any parts store so no more special orders there.

I've got 1/4", but I do use radiator-type clamps on the petcock fittings and those mini wire-type on the carb fittings.  I have in-line filters that I just jam on without clamps.  Works for me.

I like the transparent/blue poly stuff! it's pricey at $4 a foot but in 1/4" it fits on without clamps and I can see the fuel in the line. I think it looks alot sharper too. Commonly used on snowmobiles, got mine at the local bike shop.

Yeah, I'm using thr 1/4 inch black stuff on mine. I use those worm gear clamps on the line and on the 1/4 inline fuel filters. Seems to be doing the job so far.

Low pressure 1/4 in line works OK on the 750. The High Pressure fuel injection line is way too HD. At $4 per foot I like the other option, $8 every 5 years sounds OK to me ;)

Is there a specific way to run it?  I have two lines from tank to carb pairs.
Seemed hard to find a way that does not interfere with the choke apparatus, or rest on the side of the heads, or have bends in it.  I put the tiny disk type fuel filters very close to the carb bodies to get them out of the way, not much room in there.

It's a gravity feed system.  So, it is simply the head pressure of the fuel level in the gas tank.  Not much.  What does a 10 inch column of gas weigh 7/32 inch in diameter?

ah ok i was wondering because my fuel filter said not for over 10psi systems but seems to work dandy

I just changed out my fuel lines on my CB 550 with the clear fuel line offered by Z1.  I used 3/16 line and it stays in place without clamps - no leaks at all.  I also added small in line fuel filters (also from Z1).  Using the 3/16 line and their small filters I was able to use the same fuel line routing as stock.

check out the lawnmower shops or the power equipment parts section of your local home improvement type store, I'm running clear 1/4" mower fuel line from home depot, I think it was like $3 for 3 feet.   the stock lengths for the early 750K's are 12" and 6" BTW.

Use braided steel hose on my 550 F2 here in the UK. Come with clamps and neat rubber end covers.
Look pretty good too . Vehicle Wiring Products. Lots of good stuff on their site.

I've been using the Ultra Gray line by Motion Pro (Tygon). Great stuff but pricey. You can buy it by the foot from Sudco.

After years of using the black stuff and the clear I have finally settled on "Tygon" fuel line. It's about $1.00 per foot but doesn't swell or get stiff. Although it's yellow you can see the fuel inside it.
