Of all of the CB750 stock carbs which are the best?

Are some better than others?

The 69-70's are very easy to work on but what about performance?

It's always a shame when someone asks an interesting question and gets no response. I favor the 1-into-4 '69-'70 carbs for a lot of real-world reasons: they're simple; they suit the SOHC4 well in sizes up to 900cc in real world situations (not just a really great top end while matched with spotty starting, overcomplicated internals, intractable low end, etc...) and all the parts you need are available. Also, the '69-'70 throttle is much quicker and more linear without being extremely quick. But that's just my take. I'm not an expert. Then again, none of them replied...

Myself I like Webers, but they are not really that available to the average rider, nor as easy to get jetting for, plus aircleaner issues.. The KO's were not slouches so the carbs/airbox had to work pretty good..

Thats what I thought. That is why i am putting together a rack of 1969 carbs.
As far as I am concerned they seem to have all of the features I like.

We shall see.

I know the 1974 have been reported as not being so good but I do not know if it was the carbs that were the problem.

I also know that in all the photos of Cycle-X engines, I never see any 77-78 carbs.
