Vintage races at Road America this weekend 6/8-6/10
« on: June 04, 2012, 08:10:23 AM »
I know a few people who will be attending. Is there going to be a SOHC tent or a group area meeting spot for the cool SOHC's?

Maybe we can start a running list of those attending with dates.....

I will be there Saturday with my family and biking buddies. Maybe we can even set up a nice riding crew to join?

Yeah Cycle X has been there every year so far. Both a booth and starting last year I believe with their race bike (which is one serious machine).

I'll be headed there from Madison early Saturday morning on my 78K (since the F threw a chain yesterday on 894 in Milwaukee...).

Seems like we've tried getting some sort of SOHC4 group tent or parking area every year, but I have yet to see it actually happen. There are a lot of old CB750s, 550s, and 500s there usually.

It really makes for a great day out there, and the races are just awesome. So much variety on the track.

Well I have no problem trying to get a meetign spot. I will have all my kids and wife with me but that won't stop the fun with me. Also, I plan to do the "touring" ride on the track again this Saturday. I did it yesterday at the AMA races and had the 550 up to 90. But that was as fast as I would go.

I'm hoping to be there all three days. On saturday I will be doing the Motorcycle Classics Ride and show (maybe not the show, depending on when I want to leave). It was a good time when I did it two years ago and Dennis (old scrambler) had a really nice route for us to ride on.
