71 750 with 4-1 and center stand clearance
« on: June 05, 2012, 12:56:52 PM »
I am pretty sure I've read on the site a kerker 4-1 exhaust won't work with a center stand.

My K1 has only a center stand although modified by PO. I have a new center stand. Can I swap out and have the center tabs function properly or do I have to keep it as is until a have the side stand welded on

All Kerkers for CB750 I've ever known and I've had and seen a few, work with the centerstand, no prob. They (Kerker) provide a standoff bracket to keep it from hitting the chain. Easily reproducible as they are often lost. That may be your problem?

Bingo, the Kerker will work with a center stand, just need to fab a short bracket to keep the stand off the chain.
I attached the bracket off the left rear passenger peg.
