TwoTired, I think the idea was that it atomized the fuel better (from what I understand reading this thread), so likely burning more of the fuel that is already there, meaning you would need to use less fuel for the same amount of power.
That's the way I understood it too,.. better atomization. It probably did lean the mixture but less of it went out the exhaust unburned. More of it contributed to power but less fuel was used. Its one of those things that works first then gets explained later.
Guys, I'm sorry if I upset any with the thread. I was lookin to get crazy MPG and tinker with the bike. I lie the aspect of working on the bike and having success with the effort put forth. Simply stated, I wanted to try new things and was curious if there was any success with this application
This tube mixes air with the fuel coming up around the needle and makes it sorta foamy (or emulsified) Apparently it atomizes better when it enters the airstream as a foam? The main jet and needle/needlejet do the fuel metering. somewhere there’s an air jet feeding the emulsifier area.
i get 200 klm before reserve,sometimes 220,
its a 500 tank delta
i dont spare mine,,or try for fuel economy,,we have decent proper petrol here aswell,which helps,i mostly use the 95,,we have also 98,,and 91 with ethanol for the peasants and gypsies.
