those Honda/Norton decals
« on: June 06, 2012, 04:13:19 PM »
Does anyone know where to get those decals in the Norton font that say Honda? I'd like to try and get them in a maroon/reddish color.

Try a shop that does graphics work, they should most likely have a vinyl plotter to cut out anything you can design.

I found this for you, I'm not a member of the forum there so I can't see any pics, but it sure sounds like what you're looking for.

Try and find someone in your area that can handpaint them for you, will look way nicer than a decal or vinyl imho.

That would be ideal for me too, when I had my 350 tank done the guy was just starting his custom paint shop and did a great job, painted the original lines on with the 72 honda racing green metallic/candy color, but that was 5 yrs ago and I haven't heard of him since then.

Don't do it! Honda logos are for Hondas! Norton logos are for Nortons. Who are you trying to fool?

I like the cursive writing of the old Indian's and Norton's. My 350 is completely stock, my 750 I'm working on will be a little customized for me, but I am keeping it to the point that if I want to (or if I ever sell it) I can put it back to stock with some new paint and a few minor things. I have kept all the original parts and have cleaned them up and boxed them up for safe keeping so I still have them.

I'm surprised no one calls them Hortons at this point. And unless you're combining the two bikes put that sticker on there is almost as silly as a sticker that says "cafe racer"

Hey, if you cross a Honda with a Norton, wouldn't you have a Horton?

Thanks 69, but myhondas - Ray- got back to my PM and made up some pretty awesome ones, and in the right color  ;D If they called them Hortons it would be a lot easier to find them instead of honda/norton decals.

Tip for install:  lightly spray some water on tank before vinyl is applied.

PS. Ray makes some really nice keychains.
