Suzuki Stratosphere 180hp 6 cylinder...
« on: June 14, 2006, 06:27:00 PM »
Let's hope they get this into production. What would the retail cost be? Any ideas?

Looks like one of the few modern bikes I would want to own, except I probably wouldn't be able to keep up with it. Certainly couldn't afford one.....

Probably won't happen until they find a quarterback to ride it.

Nice that another company has the guts to NOT do a harley look a like. Maybe honda will get the picture and go back to being the innovative company they once were.

You have to wonder what it would sound like.

Best bike sound?

Maybe a Trident?  (washes mouth out),  but probably a CBX at full chat.

So this is an ultra modern engine and will rev to about 12 or 14 thousand RPM. I'm getting excited     ;D

I can't even imagine........ On occasion, I see a gloss black Hayabusa when I'm traveling hwy71
near where I live. This sucker just gives off "I'm SO Fast!!" I've seen him pull away from a stoplight
and, after a few feet, just leave everthing like they are standing still! When I think about the power
and speed that it has and then Another bike is shown that has more!!! I don't even want to think
     about it.

Just looking at it makes my stomach lurch. I had my fast days ten, fifteen years ago. Gimme my cruiser and I'm a Happy guy.

And yep, it looked to me like there were six carbs.

Peace and Long Rides,

In one of the old issues of Classic Bike they profiled a guy who turned an early '80s Suzuki GS1100 into an inline six...actually split up spare cases and welded them onto the existing ends, and had to weld extensions onto the cams and crank.  He said at one bike show Suzuki engineers were drooling all over it...I wonder if this might be inspired by his work!

The KZ1300 I am working on has gobs of power, but the weight is
too much for me to handle.

I gave up my cb750 for a cb550 for this reason. Can't imagine owning something
like this. Maybe if I use some growth hormones? :-\

Looks interesting but I am also interested in the weight of it. For the first time I can actually look at the front radiator setup and say it doesnt look like butt. The black into chrome exhaust has a nice flow where most bikes just look clustered. I think the destroyed the concept w/ that front window and seat setup or it could be the color schema. I would like to see a shorter rear tail section, I would imagen that would clean the look up and again dump that old orange color paint setup the have. I think the current exhaust setup is HOT, very almost buell look.. just needs to be flat black :D

the real question is how long it will take for somebody to turbo it after it comes out.

Isn't that the truth!! Turbo and nitrous! Hey, I know, let's put 2 motors in one bike!

And maybe, TWIN Turbo!!             Gotta go, I'm startin to get nose bleed.

Didn't Ducati have a V-8 in the mid to late nineties?

I don't know about Ducati but, I remember seeing, in the back of bike magazines, an advertisement for models of vintage motorcycles ( magazines back in the 80's or 90's) and there was a V8 powered motorcycle. Only thing is...... I CAN'T REMEMBER the brand name!!!! It was a racing bike.
I did a little research and it was a Moto Guzzi in the the mid 50's and it was a 500cc DOHC V8.

Also, check out this: Drysdale 750-V8 Superbike  and if the link doesn't work just manually enter the same thing and it'll be there.  Later on, Bill
