GZ 2.0 has been languishing in Meridian, Idaho for a week now ( http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?topic=105559.msg1208029#msg1208029 ) and we have had no luck finding anyone willing to meet up with ofreen to pick up the baton. If we can't get something going by the end of the week (6/15/12) we are going to have to consider shipping the baton. Where is everyone? If we ship the baton to Seattle, is there a way to connect with Team Northern in Montana or North Dakota? Or are we going to have to ship the baton from there as well? We are in dire need of some feedback!

I'm leaving for a Goldwing trip this weekend or I'd go to Idaho & pick up lefty. I could do it when I get back but that'll be 4 weeks or so from now. I could take it through Oregon and up to Seattle if it's not too late. Timing's not good this time otherwise I'd be there now.

Possible mailing addresses could be Wes in Nebraska who is thinking of riding to Rockerbox in Wisconsin, or to Dennis near Milwaukee.  From there, we should be able to pick up Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois & maybe even roll a wheel or two in and out of the Dakotas.  I haven't seen any riders speaking up from middle Canada.

Would hate to see Lefty moving with Team Brown, but if he has to, I'm sure we can find an addressee.
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?

What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Not sure where everyone else is in the PNW but I posted on another thread I am out this time around. Heading out on a 2 week vacation with the wife and dog on the boat starting this saturday. This will be our last 2 week vacation for a while since the wife starts a new job in July.

I don't know if this'd work: Mail Lefty on to the next leg (BC?). Mail him back here in a month or so and I'll take him through Washington and Oregon and forward him. Just an idea.

Here is another proposal.  Either I or scondon, or both of us, can get GZ to western Washington next weekend.  Funjimmy, brandem, tweakin or anybody else there who wants to can take custody of Lefty.  Perhaps in the course of their ride through the north Cascades into B.C. a handoff can be made to someone there.  From there, is there anyone who can help Lefty make his way east?

I don't mind making the ride to western Washington if it means the relay can continue, but if Lefty is going to end up getting mailed anyway, the effort will be for naught.  It would be about a 1200 mile round trip for me, and considering the prices in Oregon and Washington, at least a 125 buck expense just for gas.  Again I don't mind doing it if the payoff is the relay goes on unabated, but if there is no one to carry on, it would be a futile (and expensive) gesture.

Can we get some discussion going around this?

I just got back from a pretty long bike trip but could probably handle a Godzilla transport if needed. What's the current status?

PM either SCondon or Ofreen ASAP. They are close to either riding or UPS'ing. The recent discussion has been in a different thread.
