To my Dear non-riding wife: The earth really is round, gravity is real and my motorcycle tires do wear out and have to be replaced when they do, so get the f*^k over it! ( Sorry if I've offended any of your delicate ears!)

The Shinko 712 is one of the tires I'm considering and no I will not buy a cheap tire. Suggestions are welcome and the front tire only has about 3K on it with plenty of rubber, so a matched set will not happen at this time.

That's right. When I got my 750K6 in 2009 it already had a fairly new dunlop 404 on the front, but a mismatched wore out tire on the rear. Got me a new 404 for the rear and I was good to go. Goes down the hwy great

I just put D404's on my K8, I like them too. And a 130 on the back.

Indeed...the bike fund has nada to do with the household budget AND she has no access to it! Keeps life simpler for sure.

Always seems to be that new shoes for her are a must while new tires are a luxury, eh?

I had a customer call up pricing parts once in a very low voice, and mid conversation he suddenly sez (I gotta go! The wife just came into the room!"

Poor git. You would not believe how many calls I have had from guys whose old lady took a hammer or some such to the bike. My missus refers to the bike as "the other woman" and is happy enought to leave me pottering about in the garage with my toys.
