hey.....cool pictures. i was hoping they'd have some from the back carousel where we really had it leaned over.
it's going to be a great battle for the championship. we are in a very close 2nd place right now and i like our chances. the team was thinking about running at miller this weekend or possibly the new NOLA track in new orleans nxt weekend...but ultimately those races were not races that we committed to from the start, so it's pretty hard to change the plans we've had all along. sure it would have been nice to erase our 2 bad finishes, but won't be necessary to win the championship.
next up will be the barber vintage festival october 11-14. biggest race of the year. i get around there pretty well and won 3 out of 4 races there last year, losing only to kevin schwantz:) there is a 2nd class that we can race the bike in, and it's called Formula Vintage. it's kind of a run what ya brung class. former 3 time AMA grand national champion jay springsteen will be racing an ex pro flattrack XR750 set up for road racing. it's bad ass and he gets around barber in a hurry! i'm hoping to race him heads up on one of the days.
after that, we'll close the season out at the legendary daytona international speedway. letting the cycle x superbike rip on the fabled high banks is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope we can get a radar gun on it. we had a GPS on the bike at grattan and got it up to 141. i think it's good for 150 at daytona.
