Is this a 750 tank?
« on: June 09, 2012, 09:31:15 PM »
Side covers look like they are for the 450, but what is the tank and does it fit on a 450 twin?

I'm guessing the ridge on top indicates it's a 750.

Do you have to pinch in the circle areas on that tank cap to operate it??  For some reason I am feeling Suzuki here, and with that ridge area on tank top feeling two stroke triple, like 380 or 550. Do you have a picture of the fuel petcock ?

Photo is from CL. thought I might buy it and have it delivered to a close address or shipped, but not sure about petcock style.

There is a pic of the botom, I think. I hope that with the paint that it was worth painting and not a rust bucket, but who knows. Lemme find the other pic.

Petcock is prolly not honda now that I look.  They call it honda and I think I'm correct on the cb/cl side covers, but I haven't even pulled one off the shelf to make sure.

They call it a honda and as far as I can tell the side covers are the metal ones off a DOHC 450 cb/cl which maybe just buy it if I can get it.

Mods to make it fit anything I have may be another story that burns off the paint. I remember a thread with a suzi tank on a SOHC, and everyone seemed to think it had a good look.

Paint looks okay, but not sure if it's something I would invision when ordering custom paint.

Oh yeah, thanks guys.

Not sure about pinching the cover, but I think they said it is missing the release lever/button.

That is the same petcock used on the older Suzuki 380/550 Triples. Will say those petcock bowls are usually a buggar to get of without breaking them, don't ask me how I know   ::)
