Sure, I should/will do that but in the meantime I'd like to ride it.
I can check the outcome of a vacuum gauge-less adjustment by measuring header temps.
Theoretical question: Does turning needle adjustment nut clockwise or anti-clockwise, reduce the amount of vacuum?

edit added: Found an answer. "If the synch meter reads to high INCREASE the slide height to LOWER the vacuum (turn CLOCKWISE)"
