H1 Rebuild
« on: June 12, 2012, 06:45:00 AM »
Thought id share for those who are kawi triple fans.   Im a 99% honda guy, but had to jump at the chance when my buddy said, "hey you wanna buy my h1 project?"

Running with title, fairly complete. Ill be doing a semi cafe build. Silver with black racing stripe, powdered black rims, new spokes, etc......  Oh! and expansion chambers!!

will start taking down the front end after vacation.

gotta love baggies,  all the parts are in a tub now ad the baggies are in a smaller box all organized.

Be careful, you'll be 99% honda til you ride a 2 stroke, they are very addictive... I've bought 5 in the last 2 years. They are the sole reason my cafe build is taking so long.

Another good point, if it's all there keep it original for the value, triples are getting very rare and pricey. It would be like cutting up a sandcast that was restorable. I don't care what anyone does to their bike but it's something to consider.
You know you've achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing left to take away.

thats why im doing a mild cafe.  There wont be any cutting on this bike.  i have an original tank along with a second tank to paint up how i want and all original parts will be kept so i can go back to original.

Vacation was great thanks!         The piece with a crack is the right side engine cover oil pump side. looks like something is pushing outward on the cover. Wont know till i take it off.  The engine runs great but did leak oil. this is where it was leaking.  Was hoping not to have to rebuild the engine, but we'll see.
