Nice Original cb750 exhaust
« on: June 12, 2012, 07:17:59 PM »
Curious, what does a nice set of pipes off say a 74' bring these days? Have a line on a nice set- just curious what they are selling for as cb's seem to have surpassed Harleys in value around the east coast here. I know you can get a new set for like 1200 bones or so from Honda.... just wondering . Nice bike with no title but very nice parts, musta been kept inside a while. I have been messin' with two strokes and twins for a while so kinda been out the loop on the inline fours....somebody bring me up to speed. I do of course know that they are worth whatever someone will pay for them but I am not asking for that kinda answer just what they would reasonably go for in your neck of the woods.

Looks like the dude tried to get it running and gave up. Tank is there and said to be in good shape. It is totally complete. Said pipes were 100% solid no rust.
Dudes asking 300 with no title, might can get it for two but already have six bikes and am kinda maxed out.

Engine is free, and it looks not to have been butchered, 20k miles

If no rust through, you could probably get $100/pipe.

If the tank does not have rust inside, I may be interested.

$300 for that is an absolute steal.  $200 would be highway robbery.  Regardless of your current fleet I would buy it.  If you spend a little time on just one component you could make your money back right there. The rest is gravy.

Find the money and part it out ... that bike is a money maker for someone.
