Racetech Emulators - to braze or not to braze?
« on: June 13, 2012, 01:19:06 PM »
Hi all,

I'm just laying into my suspension rebuild on the '75 CB750K, and I decided to listen to the hype for once and try out the Racetech emulators.  It seems like a pretty clear cut (and shiny!) little gizmo, but the thing I can't really get straight is the rebound holes.  Seems like folks on the forum are a bit conflicted as to whether we should close up one of the rebound holes or not.  As far as my instructions state, that's only necessary on some bikes with external rebound adjusment.

I am not set up to do this myself and would have to bring the damping rods to a machine shop (not that it's a big deal, but add +1 to the list of things to do).  Do we have any consensus on this?

(For the record, I'll be using Racetech single rate springs for my weight and new seals from Honda as well.)

I have yet to install a set.........opinions vary but tend to say close one hole for the track but leave them open for the street.

Somebody else will chime in now that you have a fan......
