A newb from NY
« on: June 12, 2012, 03:52:49 PM »
Hi there sohc4 masters,

I live in Brooklyn- NY (originally from Turkey), working as a waiter. I've been looking for a '70-'78 cb750 to get my first cafe style motorcycle. It will be my first honda as well... I actually don't have too much of an experience in bikes. I got pretty obsessed about these machines while I was looking for some triumphs and Ducatis. Certainly a milestone in the history..

Anyhow, I think I will buy the bike that I have saved the link on craigslist, most probably tomorrow. It looks fine to me on pictures, price is fair too. Hope to open the topic tomorrow.

Cheers,

Welcome. Post a pic if you get it.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Got it. A fantastic 34 year old bike. I am amazed with the condition and the feeling of this bastard. It is @!#$% heavy I am surprised. You can't really treat this thing like the new 750 engined bikes...

1978 23k mile cb750 bone stock.

I had to lean it down to load it. I can't ride it since I still don't have the NY drivers license. It was more like a new toyota rav4 ad really :)
