Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant...
« on: June 16, 2006, 03:40:25 PM »
Has anyone here tried the Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube? It's kinda like oil, but claims to lube the top end, comp. rings, and help keep the carbs clean and lubed(carbs need internal lube??? ???). I would like to see if anyone has had any success story with this stuff, or if it has benefitted someone in any way. I realize that this could be a sensitive topic, kinda like hi-test or regular unleaded, or dino vs. synth.  ;)

gasoline has lubricating properties on it's own. feel some.
my ford truck has 230k miles on untouched original engine.  good compression, good oil pressure. i just put gas in the tank and keep the oil changed.
that said, i don't think an oz of castor oil per gallon of gas would do any harm and it will make your exhaust smell like an old airplane.
