Polished up probably ~$100+ on ebay these days. They seem to be more scarce than the plain finned covers.

I have a set of those for the DOHC, there were Japanese market only kind of piece but more than a few sets made it over here.

Every set I have ever seen has been chrome, and it looks like those were chrome at one point too but most of it peeled off.

These were unfortunately the bottom level in these covers - there were at least four different other sets where the finning actually matched the same angle as the cylinder fins for all four pieces (clutch cover, points cover, alternator add-on, starter cover). On this set, obviously, they don't. Odd.

you can get the points cover off of Yamiya for 532.52 USD but I still have not found another stator cover like this one, if anyone has one can you post pics. It looks like the whole stator cover is cast as one piece

Here you go nasty, nice billet finned covers.... ;)

Not the same. Looking for the ones with the tapered shoulders and SOHC on them. More rare.

that stator cover must be rare like hens teeth because I have looked all over the net and cant find a pic of another one. I believe am going to get them rechromed and put them on ebay and see what they will go for unless someone is interested in buying them as they are. I think rechromed might fetch upwords of $1000 but I maybe dreaming. lol

I see. Thought that might be the case.

Frankly, I like the ones you show better. I have one of the SOHC style for points but not for Alt cov. I can't tell if the one you showed for the clutch cover has the horizontal fins or the tilted forward fins. If they were tilted, I might buy one. Mine is horiz, so I use the SOHC style to match.

I have a tilted point cover, and alt cover. Course you can't see both sides at the same time.  :D

Yeah i think so too. I'll have to print a picture and go out and hold it up to theengine. Or maybe call the place.

In the meantime, to the OPs question, yes they are sorta rare. But looking at eBay and at some practicality, I don't think you could clear the cost of rechroming them.

I got a pair of the finned covers, and still trying to find information about them.   They are extremely rare.  From what I can determine they were made during the 70's by a chopper builder, in california.  Let me take a look at a friend's collection of 70's chopper mags and see if I can find the guys ad.   I have both the points and the stator cover.  The pair that I have did not look like anything like that tho.   Yes they did plate them in both gold and chrome during the 70's.   As far as value goes the market is a bit soft, considering that there seems to be a flood of cheap motorcycle parts on ebay lately.
