My First Bike Build 1975 CB750

A Little Background - My Dad bought a 1975 CB750k new, and by about 1988 had roughly put 23k miles on it. When I was about 5 or 6 he use to ride me around town riding on the tank and holding onto the bars (Which is most likely unsafe and illegal now), and ever since I can remember I've wanted to ride it (drive it myself). Over the years it just sat in the corner of my parents garage, my dad started buying more Harley's (Has 3 as of now, 02 Road King, 10 Streetbob and my grandfathers restored 64 pan head which he restored himself), my mom got a 02 soft tail, and i had a 84 Nighthawk 400 then upgraded to a '02 Buell Firebolt. So to make room the CB750 found its way up to another house my parents own and sat in a shed.

Back in the early late 70's early 80's my dad was involved in an accident with it and damaged the frame. To fix it they cut the frame and welded part of another 750 frame to it. So after 20+ years of nagging my dad about fixing it up and telling him I wanted to do a "Father Son" build he secretly went out and bought a "donor bike" just for the frame. and lets just say the only thing its good for is the frame.

By comparing my 750 to pictures I see online the mods that were done to it already are:
- Cross Cut Front Brake Caliper
- Oil Guage
- Bars
- Foam Hand grips (or at least look/feel like it)
- 4-1 Black Exhaust
- Seat
- Removed The Blinkers
- Carb Air Filter Pods
- Engine Side Cover With Fins
- Rear Shocks
- Removed Rubber sleeves On Front Forks
- Removed Mirrors

(I'm Trying to do my best to take as many pictures as possible, some I forgot to rotate)

As of right now my only work space is a shed, trying to help my future father in-law clean out part of his garage so I can work there

Wow...nice project and welcome to the forum. You are getting your hands dirty in a fast way. Great father / son project and appears will be a fair amount of work. Have you checked to be sure the motor is free and will turn over with the kicker? That is the first place to start. Hate to see you got through all this work with a stuck motor. Keep us informed. We love pics here and we really enjoy seeing another saved. Again...welcome!!!  8)

Thanks, I'm glad there is a place to come like this, I found more here than i did in hours of searching other places.

That was the first thing we did before it was loaded up on the trailer, we didn't start it but if you push down on the kicker it feels free even for sitting for so long. The junker we are just using for the frame pushing the kicker as hard as possible it doesn't even budge, but we're not using the engine on it anyways.

That's good then. You may even feel a bit of compression as you kick it down. That is a good sign.
