Valve spring shims - 750 k5
« on: June 17, 2012, 03:59:41 PM »
My new valve spring kit came with a set of shims.  There were no shims when I removed the old springs.  Do I need to install these?  If so, where?  Would the go below the spring seats?  Thanks

What is your installed height? They would go below the spring base. Those are .060 thick....I use different ones that support the base better. I would....in general...say do not use them but is depends on the cam, installed height etc etc.
