popping sound
« on: June 18, 2012, 04:27:46 AM »
When engaging the clutch I hear a popping sound coming from the lower part of the engine or tranny.  The bike rolls without sound and everything seems tight I examined the sprockets and chain and lubed everything .  Bike runs great.  Engine is smooth and clutch engages smoothly and does not slip.  Any guesses where to look next?  1981 CB650C with 8000 on the speedo.
