Best place & price for a battery. Autozone is $52 a bit high for me. Is this the best price I am going to find? Thanks

I just got one off Ebay from "batteryman" or something.  All he sells are batteries.  It was about $26 or so shipped, came with the acid....

You could always check out Batteries Plus if one is in your area, retail price on my CB550F one is about $35-$40, and they're quality batteries with a 1 year free replacment warranty.

Stopped over at wally world (the evilest place on earth) $29.95. Now I have got to go to Harbor freight for a trickle charger tommorow.
I dont know if everybody has these where they live but they are cheap for stuff like that. Thanks

they also carry a small solar cell that will maintain a charge during storage, very nice for people who like to park it and forget it during winter storage.

battery prices here vary, 5 years ago I bought one for $49. just replaced that one for the same brand at $29.

One thing to watch out for is if the salesman wants to test the battery before handing it to you, generaly means they've had enough trouble with new batteries that it's become an issue for them, so the battery brand may be less than great quality. Sounds like it's a misinterpretation of good sales policy, but batteries that I've bought 'grab and run' have lasted far longer than batteries that I've bought from the 'check them before they go' places.
