Beer, Godzilla and a Harley.
« on: June 19, 2012, 12:44:46 PM »
I've got big problems guys. I've been offered a ride on this bike next week in Finland.
http://kuvia.1g.fi/kuvat/Tapahtumat+2007/FHRA/NitroNationals5-8.7_07/BikeRace/5-8.7_07-225.jpg
The problem is that the Finnish rules state that riders must wear a back protector. This is not compulsory in the UK so to keep weight down I don't wear one.
I bought the lightest one I could find that has the necessary CE approval but it won't fit in my leathers because I have put weight on since stopping smoking. I started again and lost 13lbs but it was till a very tight fit. :(
Step 2, diet more, peddle bike to work instead of car and stop drinking beer.
I've got just a few days to get rid of a few more lbs and then this morning, disaster struck.
The postman turned up with a parcel from Aussie land containing a rather dehydrated lizard called Godzilla. He was gasping for a decent pint of Boddingtons finest Best Bitter after having to drink the crap lager that them Aussies have been forcing down him. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I can't let the poor thing know that I'm off the beer so It's off to the pub we go. ::) ::) ::) any excuse. ;D ;D ;D

+1 You silly bugger.  Wear it on the outside of your leathers if you must but wear the damn thing.  ;)

Give up the damn weeds, it's worth a few pounds, but a pint or two now & again isn't so bad. I have always told Deb there are no calories in liquid.  ;D

Come on people, don't take me for an idiot, I do have back protectors but not the type required by the Finnish federation which require the seperate armoured type.
Drag racing and Sprinting is the safest form of Motorcycle competition, and the odds of falling off are millions to one, that's why I don't do the roundy roundy stuff or ride on the road.
I'll work my but off to get my weight down but if push comes to shove, I'll wear it outside my leathers and look like an Armadillo. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Sam,

Don't worry, there is plenty of torque to haul your old lard-ass down the 1320 BUT you gotta shift a lot sooner! Don't expect 7000 rpms. You 2 have some more beer. GZ needs the sedative effect  ;D

Ooohhhh Sam that Harley gives me wood. Ha ha.   Stop the cancer sticks, keep drinking beer and wear the back protector over the leathers.

Great that GZ has arrived Sam.  8)
Geez that was quick.
They must've bolted a bloody fuel cell onto him to get there in that time.  ;D

It took twice as long as that to get the Lizard from Cairns to Darwin and that's just across the road.  ;D

Mick  ;)
