A RE-introduction from Pittsbugh, PA.
« on: June 19, 2012, 01:03:33 PM »
I got a new bike,  and i haven't been here in a while,  so a RE-introduction.
My name is John.   from Pittsburgh PA.   Been ridding and wrenching for about 10 years.
I enjoy motorcycles and scooters.
So my NEW  bike  is  a minty   1973 Honda CB500F.
old bikes are  1973 Honda CB350F,  Kymco People 250, and Derbi GP1 .

Quick question,  on the 350  the side covers have a screw that you do a half turn and the lift off.    The new CB500F  is different,  before i break them,   can you tell me how  the side covers are attached , and best way to get them off without breaking them.

thanks .

They should just pop in and out of the rubber grommets in the frame. I'll be moving up to friendship/east liberty in the fall. Maybe I'll see you around

Be careful with those covers as the locating lugs become brittle with age. Make sure you get your fingers as close to the lugs as possible before trying to pull them off. I do one lug at a time just to make sure.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
