Hello all!
My name is Taylor and I'm from Dallas, TX. I got my first bike in may and I have been working on it ever since. It is a 1978 CB550K and it is in pretty nice condition. I am a complete newb to motorcycles and automobile work in general, but I have wanted to ride ever since I was a little-bit. Im in college now and so I decided now was the perfect time to start. Took a course and got a license and all that stuff, now im just ready to make my new baby run so I can take it out and just ride. Eventually I plan on turning her in to a mean looking bike but right now Im just focused on making her run well and then riding the
ish out of her.
So far I have just cleaned most of the parts and I'm replacing filters, cables, and in currently rebuilding the carbs. Couldn't have done any of it without the resources from this site, so my thanks to all you helpful people out there answering questions and sharing the knowledge. Rebuilding these ever so rare carbs has been a task but hopefully I'll come out on top. I'll let you guys know.
I'll be posting some pics of my cb and I'm looking forward to just going for a cruise as soon as I can put her back together.
