The PO of my bike put in a Mac 4 into 2 setup. Cut off the original pipes about midway down and slip these on:

After shipping and tax, buying this same setup from Dennis Kirk is going to cost me around $350, which is more than I'd like to spend. Plus, I'll be stuck on these forever, with non replaceable baffles. So I'm looking for other options.
I examined them hoping to find a place where I could easily cut them off so I could put on another silencer, but it's no good. The two pipes are still merging into one at the weld to the silencer. Does anybody know where I can get a 2 into 1 merge section of pipe, so that I can move to replaceable silencers? Anybody done anything like this before?
