Definition of CLIQUE
: a narrow exclusive circle or group of persons; especially : one held together by common interests, views, or purposes

That's right Bobby, by definition, this forum is a "Clique". So my "Spelling skills" clique will be a clique within a clique. Of course, Frank and I have an affinity for the thrill of riding motorised bicycles, (the more engine's the better...........) so we've started our own "clique within a clique" again.

I think there is an enormous amount of subordinate cliques within the main SOHC4 clique, you've got the "Sandcast" (we're better than everyone) clique, "69-76 CB750K" (we love our K's) clique, the "F (we ain't ugly) clique, the "77-78K" (red headed step child" clique, and that's just for CB750's.

I think someone from the "Hierarchical Chart Makers" clique should make a chart that covers all of the cliques, within this clique? OK, time for my meds. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

And mine will be for people who use "then" and "than" in the right context.  :P

Wrong, it should be there VS they're or their. Much more exclusive.   :)

Fixed that for ya.  And denied membership at the same time.

There is hotted ,slammed & stretched750s that are very quick out of the hole.. and then there are the ones that can still corner hard.. I have nothing to do with the latter..

To defend myself (just kidding)  :) :) ;), up here we have been converting back to spelling words in accordance with the Queen's english, the way I was taught in grade school.  Something to do with how new printing techniques and thinner type faces use less ink thus it does not cost anymore to print using the "longer" words.  A poor reason to me.

Up here it is "clique" but I thought it may have been americanized to "click".  Then again there is "cheque" versus "check", "colour" versus "color", "labour" versus "labor".

Then again I luv this place ... or is it love?   :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Also, it sure plays havoc with spellcheck.  Should english and americanized be capitalized?

No Harry, U.S. American English has not degraded to the point where "Clique" becomes click. It is a matter of someone who heard a word and is  unfamiliar with the word spelling it as it sounds.

Sorry to hear that you Canadian Americans are going back to the clumsy spellings.  ;D

When Daniel Webster redefined the U.S. English dialect, he and the other linguists he collaborated with did away with unnecessary letters.  Being a good Scotsman he also figured it would save money on telegrams. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Actually, in Schools you can use either spelling and not be penalized.

Well I am no expert on the subject, but those women look pretty good to me. I could be wrong, but they look attractive. To me anyway. If someone feels differently, I could re evaluate them. I am not being confrontational, just expressing my opinion. I fully understand anyone who may have an opposing view. I mean everyone has a right to their opinion and I respect that right.
