Removing unused wiring
« on: June 22, 2012, 08:47:48 AM »
Hello SOHC4, big fan of this forum. Have a question that I haven't been able to find in all my searching. Anyway, I have a 75' 750 and removed the turn signals and horn cause I just don't like the way it looks  im installing drag bars as well.  The question is can I just cut and completely remove any wires from components no longer on the bike without disrupting needed circuits?

Sorry if this question has already been asked.
any help is appreciated.

A horn is required by law.
Sometimes you may NEED that horn.
Turn signals are required by law.

But you can have any style signals you want.

Thank you for the reply and concern but I have no intention of putting them back on. Just need an answer to the question. Thank you.

Turn signals depend on the state, check with local DMV.

Yes you can remove that wiring. I have done so with turn signal buzzer and running lights.
'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.
