Yesterday actually, but like you, usually only once a week, unfortunately.

That bike looks familiar! Bought this one about six months ago

Ha! Yes, it does. I've seen your posts. Probably ours are twins. You kept it original, like me.

Shot was last year. Since then, I've replaced the 77 side cover logo with the 78 and the swoosh decal, so it looks now looks like it should.

Details, details.

Yes, couldn't modify this one, all original and clean. Yours is a K7 [right?], mines an 8.
And your gear shifter appears high, you set it like that?

I realized you might think that so I went back in and edited my post. Mine is a K8. The side cover logo was off a donor bike until I could find the right one which it now has. I don't have a recent glamor shot close up.

Not sure about the shift lever now that I think about it. Pic of yours would be appreciated. I don't think I thought about it except to put it in the middle of the pattern in the casing. I guess I've got used to it where it is. Where should it be?

Enjoy yours. It sounds like you are!

I rode mine on April 15ish shortly b4 the surgeon officially cleared me to ride again. Then I tore down the motor and resealed a leaky upper end. Fired it up for the first time today since rebuilding & its ready to rock & roll. Thanks to Hondamans book for extra knowledge as well.

Obviously it works the way you have it, but most shift levers are in the "9 o'clock" postion:

bber.

And yes, I need a left foot peg rubber. You have one? PM me.

For a long time I was firmly in the every day category, but due to current childcare needs, and the fact that I pick up the kids almost every day after work, the most I can generally squeeze in is one ride per week.  I feel kind of bad seeing the bikes sitting there unused most days, but I'm really enjoying the time with my kids, and I know someday when they don't need me quite as much as they do now, the bikes will still be there waiting.

Selected the "poser" option.  There should be a special "Hall of Shame" button for me to select.   :) :) :)

Rode the syck bastard last night,(bike in avatar), but today I took my 1979 KZ750 twin out for a 140 mile loop.
Been riding the stock 72 CB750 a lot the last 2 weeks also.
It is very difficult to give all the bikes equal attention, but the good thing is they don't get jealous.
A little tempermental, but not jealous.

Thanks! I will try that.

If we were having this conversation a couple months ago - yes, but now - no sorry. You can get the rubber part from Honda.

Try to get out at least once a week.  Will try for more once it cools down in the fall.

5 or 6 days a week, my trusty 79 cb650 gets me back and forth to work - unless its really raining,  the temps go below 35 degrees (Wisconsin), forcast of snow, or any combination of  two or more of the previous conditions, then I whimp out and drive the car. ;D  I try and go for a more extended ride whenever family commitments allow (usually once or twice a month)

i ride mine as long as it's dry and above 60 F.  i usually drive the car to work in the AM because my route to work in the AM is a minefield of soccer moms who are talking on cell phones, drinking starbucks, and putting on makeup while driving.  but if it's nice out i go home for lunch and ride the bike back, then get to take the scenic route home after work :)
