The brown wire in the headlight bucket where does it connect? The schematic show that it connects to the combination switch.  I don't have any wires left to connect to the female?

Just look it up in your workshop manual.

"Combination switch" No such thing on a motorcycle. Left or right ?
There is a starter switch, with kill button. right side
There is the left handlebar light and horn switch.

There is no brown wire on the K1 or on the K2 in the headlight part of the harness, only a brown with white stripe.

I think that may be a spare connector, doesn't go to anything. Cliff.

There's usually an extra wire for the small parking light that was required for Euro bikes but not US bikes.
Do you have a copy of the Honda Shop Manual or Parts List for your bike? Get one here:

Bingo! Good call CycleRanger. Something like the spare green wire under the left side cover. Cliff.

That makes sense.  I was looking at the schematic and it does look like it goes to the tail light but obviously no way of hooking it up.  Thanks!  On to other problems.

Oh and to Lucky the manual would not have told him what the wire was used for. It shows it on the print as a dead end but not what it is for.
