Topic: Made baffle for Mac

The old one fall apart so I made a new one from piece of tubing I had in my scrap pile.

It works - the sound is brutal, she runs like raped ape - but the neighbors will proly shoot me one of these mornings

Also the wife complains that it is too loud to start at 5 AM.

Is there a quiet baffle for Mac on the market?  Would the reverse cone help?  Please, advise.

I used a kitchen sink plug. removed the rubber part. pushed it in and stuffed it with stainless steel scrubbies from the dollar store. I used the end of the old mac baffle to hold it all in. Sounded much better than stock to me . I have seen a picture of a cut off oil filter from a car pushed in and screwed in place. I would off tried that too but my mac is gone.

I thought about the oil filter, but the strainer is a good idea too. Thanks.
