I wanted to see if I could get member opinions on replacement clutch friction plates for my 76 550. The bike I'm building only has 13.5k on the clock but sat idle since 1992. In my past experience its better to replace the friction plates while I have the covers off for polishing since they sat relatively dry for over 20 years. I checked with the local Honda dealer and the wanted like $90 usd for the Honda friction plate set. They wanted $247 with the metal plate set and springs included. I've seen new EBC (Redline) clutch kits on Ebay for $60 0r less. Is the Redline kit adequate or any other recommendations? Thanks.
