I remember traveling over to Windsor, ON to Jackson Park and seeing the Avro Lancaster that was mounted on a concrete pedestal.

It's funny, my squadron flew Lanc's and I think that at least one ended up on a pedestal  probably in Windsor the call sign was RX and as I've said before, when we converted to P2V7's they had a flypast of the Sqdn Lanc's and when they took off and went over head it felt like you were on a field in England, during the war, it rose the hair on the back of your neck, as far as I know we only had one 6 Group vet a WAG, he flew rear turret and lasted, amazing any how my hats off to them all and yes I would stand them beer if their doctors would allow.
