There are times that any beer will do.

I used to work as a charter pilot in college.  Once I flew some cargo from SoCal to Arkansas.  It was a long flight with really crappy weather along the way.   When I finally got to the restaurant next to the hotel I was exhausted and hungry.  All I wanted was a cold beer and a burger.  Just then the waiter informed me that I was in a dry county.   :'(

Now that's a bad day all around.

Couple days ago I picked up a 6 pack of PBR.

I was traveling in my old car and stopped in Mena,AR. where I visited my friend's friend from when she was young(she was elderly, now deceased),I stopped in to say hello for her.
I drove back into town to get a 6 pack for myself and,you guessed it  ::).. A fellow there told me just head West over the state line into OK. on road 8 and they'll sell you beer;looks like they get lots of business from AR.  :D

Had a similar instance on a bike camping trip with my brother years ago. We found a good camping spot in what we found out to be a dry county in N Texas, ended up racing for the county line for a six pack!  Back then, he like to drink Miller High Life in the bottle, he'd bring a small collapsible cooler in his tank bag on his Yamaha XS1100. Good times!

I had the opposite experience once, when I was flying a Lear-36.  My buddy and I flew from Tel Aviv to Naples, and then to Munich.  By the time we checked in to a hotel, we were pretty tired.  We walked to a nearby restaurant.  Within a minute of sitting down a waiter showed up with two beers.  We looked at him quizzically, and he said, "You two look like you need this."   :)

20 some years ago I used to work at a can company where we made 12 once soda and beer cans, we made and printed the cans, we didn't fill them. Miller beer was one of our biggest customers and one time Miller threw a company party for us employees with an open bar (beer only of course). An absent minded co-worker of mine went up to the bar and asked for a Bud Lite. The front office found out about it because a day or so later he got a letter which basically said "don't be asking for a Bud Lite at a Miller bar".

LOL....

Not beer related, but similar.  My company's mail room sent a an envelope with a multi-million dollar business proposal to UPS, via FedEx.  That almost killed the deal.

A racing clutch company got a proposal from a fuel Funnycar competitor saying he could do a better job representing them that the guy they sponsored at that time. The guy that was already sponsored replied, saying I own the company dumbass.

I'll be drinking plant based beer tonight. You can't stop me, it might not be popular with some folks but I'm doing it anyway.

I had a Shiner Bock last week. It was pretty OK. Lots of miller lite and Michelob ultra last night, car club meeting night.

Yuengling traditional lager…

Started 10+ years ago. Retired IRS agent would bring a case (in glass bottles 😇) from Columbus Ohio annually to me.

Since the Dylan thing, I can find it at my favorite restaurant here now 😁.

A local brewery opened last month just 2 minutes from my house, met a buddy up there Saturday. Tried two of their brews, including the Bronco Blonde, very good!

"Blonde Ale | 6.2% ABV
Saddle up and take a ride with Bronco Blonde – the beer that will have you bucking convention and embracing our town motto, "live like you're on vacation." This deliciously crisp and refreshing blonde ale will take you on a wild ride with every sip"

I love trying the beer from small breweries.  We are fortunate that we have three in our town.  We also have a very nice one a few minutes away from our condo in Puerto Rico.

Agreed.  Beer isnt always my first choice of alcoholic drink but when it's hot outside it cant be beat!
And I like trying different "flavors", variety is the spice of life.

Another Voodoo Ranger brew juice force.
Wasn't sure on the flavor combo a fruit punch IPA but tried it on a co-worker's suggestion. Pretty good I'll have to say.
