UK beer i picked up on holiday. But yes we do drink Heineken but my favorite regular is Grolsch

Oh, thought Little Willie was an American beer, there is one as well.  Always liked the Glolsch bottle with the cool cap!

This they have at the factory entrance, im doing some work for them at the moment.

Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-A415F met Tapatalk

The Grolsch I have drank a while back;it doesn't take many of them to satisfy me.  :D
I think it said on the bottle that it was brewed by Trappist Monks ??  :D  That's some 'higher power'  ;D

yeah, I think I have seen you post that before...me and Erik been thinking you need to skip Hell and drive those slow old vettes or whatever a couple more hours west and see if you can keep up with some 50 year old Honda 4 cylinders in the backroads of Barry county.  You need to see the Gilmore museum anyway.

That '71 Corvette is a great runner [350 four speed] and I'd bet it could keep up with Eric!  You, not sure about.  HA!

Nipping out shortly to meet my old mate and partake in a gallon (imperial gallon, mind) of Timothy Taylor's Landlord.  Good old fashioned cask ale.  Delish.  Should recover in time for the England RL game tomorrow.

Restocked the shop fridge, where to start?!  Modelo Negra, a nice dark brew; a new lime flavor Shiner, an old classic Red Stripe Mon or AB Hazy IPA?!!! Not to mention Steel Reserve, where'd that come from?? Oh and the White Claw Crap is my wife's, hate it.
My mouth is watering!!

I dropped into my local pub after physio yesterday.
Sally my physio said she was going up for dinner around six.
I told her if I was still there when she turned up I'd be in the shi t and she was to give me a clip behind the ear and send me home.
Well sure enough I got a wack up the back of my head and when I turned around there was Sally ginning at me. ::)
To make matters worse she gave me another one on her way home an hour and a half later. ;D
Well twelve Carlton Draught schooners later (I checked my credit card this morning) I got home full as a state school and couldn't get into bed. I freaked out a bit and started blubbering "I can't walk!!!".
Ev rolled over, told me I was a drunken fat fool and a paraplegic then went back to sleep.

I can't remember the last time I drank twelve Carlton Draught schooners but I know it was a long long time ago.

I had a couple Double Knuckle American IPA at Iron spike a local brew pub.  I wanted to try the pea-nutbuster porter but it was only available canned. Not sure why but that was a deal breaker.

12 schooners (15 fluid ounces) would put a lot of pressure on your catheter bag Brian, I hope you emptied it before getting into bed? I had to fill out a medical questionnaire for some Army Reserve work that I'm about to start and one of the questions was "How often do you drink alcohol?" which I thought odd, I drink it every day, what else is there to drink? Coffee keeps me up all night! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Yes mate, as much as my eyes water just thinking about the month I had a catheter in, I do remember the sly enjoyment of hearing my catheter extension (on the floor beside the bed) filling up overnight without the need for me to get out of bed. Emptying it each morning wasn't as much fun, and walking around with the small bag strapped to my leg was no fun at all.

My first wizz after prostate surgery without the bag was so painful I fainted in the bathroom and collapsed on the floor, and when the nurse realised that I was down they brought in the crash cart to revive me, but I was good, if not a little gun shy.......... ;D

Good friend just had ultrasonic surgery for prostate cancer last Thursday and they took out the catheter Monday. Later his bladder filled but he couldn’t empty the bladder naturally and had to visit the ER where they installed a new catheter and sent him home to rest up a few days and they will remove the 2nd catheter and hopefully this time he won’t have a repeat of the complication. It happens sometimes…
Ugh!

I’ve had the unfortunate experience of passing out trying to relieve my bladder after a surgery several decades ago…it is embarrassing. Having a pretty young nurse remove the catheter makes you a little more humble…

Hang in there guys and stay safe…

Hey Guys..just a few comments here on types of beer that Japanese folks drink over there..from my prior experience.

Sapporo is somewhat considered Kansai [West Japan] beer and is drunk largely in places like Osaka..Kyoto areas.  It's also popular with the Kawasaki riders because Kawasaki factories are mainly located in the Kobe area of Western Japan.

But the main beer of Western Japan is probably Asahi..which used to be called Osaka Beeru [note the 'u' at the end of beer..which is the way Japanese folks pronounce beer LOL]  A very popular baseball team..the Hanshin Tigers..in Western Japan has been sponsored by Asahi for years BTW.

The Honda factories are mainly located in East Japan..called the 'Kanto' area [Tokyo being the largest city in Kanto BTW] From what I've seen over the years..the folks in Kanto tend to prefer Kirin beer..which is made in East Japan.  Kirin Beer has also sponsored the main rival baseball team of the Hanshin Tigers..which are called the Kanto Giants..again for many years.

The friendly rivalry between the Hanshin Tigers/Asahi beer..and the Kanto Giants/Kirin beer has gone on probably since the post war years of the 50's and 60's [from what I've been told]. Entire neighborhoods gather at local bars/matsuzakya/pubs to watch the baseball teams play on TV..and drink beer during the Japanese world series.  And that's still going on in Japan nowadays.

Reminds me a lot of how it was here during the 60's thru 90's during world series time in the U.S.  One of the many reasons I enjoy some of the older traditions of Japanese society..when I go back to visit there [now if I could only learn to speak Japanese fluently..which I doubt I will at my age.  But guess my bilingual wife will have to suffice..as she has for the past 30 years I've gone to Japan LOL]

So that's my riff on beers in Japan guys..
