Riders in Traverse City ??
« on: July 07, 2012, 05:46:03 PM »
Doing what we have for 15 years in a row or more.Catch big fish and ride old bikes and maybe catch a show at the Cherry Fest. Hunt down Rick Brett maybe --and have a good time and enjoy the great roads in the area.Anybody in the area hit the rustic Green Lake side  in Interlochen    and the first beer is on Me for the next week or so,Harley's coming also---  ;D Sorry no problems here except the 100 degree heat     :o

Catch big fish

The freep says Manistee and Onekama are doing very well for Chinooks and Steelhead.

Yep,usually cruise up around through the park for kicks. Never see too many old scoots around when we are up there but hear there is a get together at a Burger King once a week in TR. Anyways just a shout out for some Michigan locals, maybe take a ride over to Moomers and get an Ice Cream cone and take a couple curves around Long Lake or check out Grand Funk if they are still"An American Band".Pictures like I have posted before though of a big Smallie,20 incher is a bragger.will be coming hopefully. Family tradition that has grown a lot though and we take a big chunk of the campground now looking for a fun ride and big fish and maybe a cocktail or two with our fire.  8)

Just got back from a week in Ludington! All I thought about was I should have brought the bikes. It was a little warm but the water was perfect! Eric did you go to Boone's Long Lake Inn for some Rib eyes, it is outta this world good!

We had miles of empty beach to use and a super sunset each and every night:

I agree, but this was a family vacation, not grandpas vacation. Maybe if we had gone Asian style. I have an sohc4 gallery shot from 1972 at the Empire dunes roadside park, my CB plus my pals new Suzy water buffalo. That is the last time I rode on M22.

Boone's Long Lake Inn
Aside from the great steaks, I have heard that you might be able to collect an autograph from Gordie Howe at Boone's, if your timing is right.
