Gunson Gastester Portable 12v Powered Exhaust Gas Analyzer
« on: June 27, 2012, 05:03:51 PM »
Found this on the Net. Looking at getting it to tweak my emissions on the CB350F (the state does emission testing at idle on motorcycles) so I'm wondering if any one here has used it and has an opinion on it.

For that price, just get an AEM wideband o2 kit.

I've had one for a few years. Works great. You have to let it warm up for 30 minutes before using it for the machine to stabilize first. Yeah, it's pricey.

I was not aware of the AEM. But that is slaved to one bike and it looks like I have to somehow attach it to a muffler. I'd rather get the Gunson so I can use it on any bike and not drill my stock mufflers.

Pulled the trigger on one, should help me get the gal back on the road. With the monsoons in town (heat & humidity) my motivation for wrenching is in the basement.

I'd like to see a pic too. I remember a Gunson CO tester for DIY tested very unreliable in a Dutch AA test.

Lucky;

If I may draw your attention to the title of the thread and my location listed under my name. That should provide all the info you seek. Copying the title into a google search will give you tons of pictures if you need them.

Thanks
