Hi guys!
Retired and moved to my wifes home town from Seattle Wa. Weathers great here except when it rains
Being up North is a little safer then towards the Gulf (high water) as we need to see whats going to happen this year
Here in Thailand for a long time the biggest Bike you could get was around 250cc. Doors are open now and we are seeing the market ask for the Big Boys!!
Having alot of time on my hands I desided to build a Chopper, using what I had and making it safe for My wife to ride and grand kids.
So I made a couple of Y80 Belle Choppers. One is bone stock in the Engine reference. Mine is bored, stroked, ported and polished and extra rings for compression as we raised it from 6.6:1 to 9.5:1 went to 8mm Head Stud's and installed the Electrical system from a Mate 111 Super along with the crank driven Fan to force cool the Head. (Ok... I forgot. This is a Yamaha... But I m using A Phantom Tank and Triple tree and forks!)
Next project I will use a 150cc 4 cycle Honda base and engine. I used the Yamaha because:
1: I had, it shelved away
2: 3 speed semi-automatic, no need to worry about clutch.
3: used 2 steel HD Bicycle frames with tubing around engine and rear fork re-enforced x3 thicknesses
4: used to Hardtail, as I had in Seattle. Made Seat to use springs and hinged in rear locks under tank in front to give Butt a rest
5: being a enginer I hard Help from Yamaha Thailand, Yamaha Japan + HQ and Honda Thailand! Hard to turn down!!
You can see it as my Avitar! If you want more pictures I can post. Used the 80cc Engine as her was first built as a dual power bike! Pedals and petrol power (Plus the Yamaha Sprockets $ bolt fit my freewheels I needed to use for safety if engine failed you could just start peddling... no need to rush to find neutral and wreck!
Cheers!
David
