I've been wondering if they come back and say that the onus is in the lap of the owner to periodically check if there's been a recovery.
It wouldn't surprise me if that's the case.

But having said that, we got broken into a couple of years ago and these Airheads only stole my Indian model motorbike and left everything else alone.
The cops rang up a few months later to say that their investigation was closed and that the Indian hadn't been recovered.

It was weird that that's all that was stolen.
What I reckoned happened that was Charlie was playing the sly fox and lept out of his nest like the Incredible Hulk and they sh1t 'emselves when they saw this man eating Sausage Dog on their case.  ;D

Hey now I've got one too and I swear this little girl of ours will sound as if she's going to rip you to pieces. She so convincing that she once had a neighbors Great Dane run away with it's tail between it's legs. The moment I saw that Dane run away I knew our Dachshund  was a keeper.

I'm glad that Glenn removed that youtube vid, I was tempted to go back and view it, so now I don't have to. I think he should remove that pic of Charlie, or at least black out his "bits", as someone could be offended by that wanton display of small animal genitalia........... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Good advice Dave, and if you can afford it, get it insured. Cliff (Maduncle) had his Triumph (that he paid around $3K for) reversed into recently, the insurance company wrote it off and paid him $6K.

In Oz, "Insure my ride" are very cheap, especially if you're only a weekend rider, like me. I pay $80 per quarter for my beautiful 'Wang, and if some arsehole steals it, they'll give me back $9K. Cool beans......... ;D

Insuremyride & Swann won't look at anything over 30 years old.  Shannons on the other hand love 'em.
Mine is insured for $3,000 with full salvage rights if written off, and a $100 excess. All for around $50/year.
Can't beat that.  8)

That's excellent Frosty, I might have to get Pete to do me a deal on all my bikes! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Edit: Well Shannons sucks arse, sorry Pete, I got a quote for the FJ1200, they want $331.30 per year for $3500 cover, so I got a quote with Insure My ride, and guess what? $217.80! Needless to say, the FJ is now covered with Insure My Ride! Shannons can suck my hairy balls! Cheers, Terry. ;D

Not to mention the $3000 riding apparel cover for you and $1500 for your pillion included in that $50. And choice of repairer. 8)

Ha ha, I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, so I just tried to get an online quote from Shannons for my 1971 CB750 and guess what? Shannons don't list a 750 for 1971, as far as Shannons know, Honda only built an SL175 or SL350 for that year? I wonder how other CB750 owners insure their bikes online with Shannons? Try it yourself and see.  :o ;D

Geez Terry if we could insure our bikes for those prices, I would be riding every year..
 I get a 40 % discount, and a 750 is about 270-300 .... Without any theft.........
