Cb77 value
« on: June 27, 2012, 04:26:53 PM »
I know it varies hugely but does anyone have any input on the value of a 65 cb77 with no title, original pipes but tank rattle canned and engine torn to pieces in a box?

Probably so. The value comes from being complete, original and running with a title. That takes time, effort and money.

Then maybe $5,000 at the top.

I gave him a $200 offer back when I posted the question and he hasn't returned an email since.  Maybe he got a better offer.

You don't want to be the one that overpays. I bought my 68, completely whole, original and running (with a battery), 4500 actual miles with a 1974 license plate on it for $500. They are out there. I got a smokin deal, but there are more to be had.

Yeah, in my mind 200-250 was my top end so I don't feel bad.  I sure wasn't going to get into a bidding war for a pile of parts.
