74 cb550 shock length?

I want too upgrade the rear shocks on my 74 cb550 too help it handle better and i need to know the stock length since i dont have the bike with me at the moment. So does anyone know?

12.5 inches centre to centre. Going too long, think 14+ inches, cand create chain drag issues over the swingarm and tension issues under it.

i wanted mine too sit a little lower that stock too give it a nicer stance

11 13/16"(300mm)  or 11 1/2"(290mm) for the swingarm too be parallel with the ground?
