Honda CB350F Top Triple Clamp
« on: July 05, 2012, 10:53:25 AM »
Has anyone ever checked this out? http://www.bullitcustomcycles.com/products/bars-risers--controls/cb350fcb400f-billet-aluminum-top-triple-clamps

I might be in the market to find a new (uncracked) CB350F top triple clamp. I found this floating around on the internet and it peaked my interest. It says it works with stock controls too. I was curious as to whether or not anyone had some useful reviews or information on this?

I'm not a huge fan of that design.  It doesn't look like it will incorporate the stock gauges well, and there doesn't seem to be provision for the vertical offset that the stock upper triple provides.  The stock setup for the 350/400 has a decent drop from the steering stem nut to the fork tube clamps.  The bullit unit does not have that drop, so you'll end up dropping the front of the bike if you install it.  Our bikes are twitchy enough as it is.  No need making them twitchier by lowering the front end.

There are some other builders out there with nice uppers.  I have seen a few posted on this forum, including TTR400 who is a member here.  Can anyone else remember any other triple tree fabricators who put out a decent product?

The vertical offset is addressed with slugs? Not a fan of them, but what I really don't like is the lack of a steering-stem pinch bolt.

AH, all good points. Do any of you know of some links to other top triples that would be Viable for a 1973 CB350F? I know I could snag a 400F top triple and play with the mounting to get it to work, but I would rather have a straight up piece that wouldn't really require much modification for the stock gauges.

What about a nice billet lower for a 350f? With adjustable stops so if you mount clip-on's you can adjust them to keep from hitting your tank.

I've never seen any.  But I drilled mine and tapped it for a threaded bar.  It works but it's not super elegant.  Not like you'll make for me ;)
