Any Help would be appreciated
« on: August 31, 2014, 04:46:29 AM »
I have a set of carbs that someone gave me after he took them apart.  The choke spring is not connected and I don't know how it goes back on.  Any help would be appreciated.

Dave,

That 1st picture told me what I needed to do which was to put that tab (red arrow) under the choke pull.

It all came back to almost normal after that.  The guy who took the carbs apart before I got them lost some little plastic material that fits on the choke rod between the choke plates.  The plastic allows the choke rod to move freely.  Now 1&2 open and close freely while 3&4 stick.  Guess I'll just have to get used to starting without the choke.

The throttle cables went on better by installing the push cable before the pull cable.  So they are working, just a little stiff.

Needed to twist the spring around Twice, not once to get the spring tension to pull the choke valves open all the way.
