So put the bike on the rollers, fuel, battery etc, fan in front cos its hot kind of day.
Had trouble with the rollers, I converted them from the 240 volt motor last year to 12 v ford V8 starter, no way was speed high enough to start the ol girl, tried pushing down the road, #$%*e myself nearly fell ofwith crazy peg position and the 10 deg lock, man it feeels real strange with no lock at low seeds, SO got a 24 v battery  out of the forklift and BAM instant start up man, perfect run sweet , bit rough for about a minute then smooth as a babies Bum , sharp throttle , real Horny cam lump at under 4K, ooooh I love horny cam lump man. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) ;D

So all sounded good,  the video is from front so the sound is not as loud as it really is, but overall was nice to get the bike running and having it sounding nice.    Booked the dyno 26 th Feb

Will do a run with the NGK fuel AF meter for a few miles to get the jetting closer ready for dyno, cant wait to ride it at a speed where it feels safer.

Why so little steering lock? I had my bike set up with only about 25* once due to interference with the gas tank, and it sucked eggs. Dropped it once just pushing it into the shop. :o Maybe I've spent too much time playing in the dirt, but once you can't steer into the skid, so to speak, you're #$%*ed. ;)

Spot on Scottly, ;D
It is probably OK out on a big flat salt pan where you instinctively use balance not steering but at slow speed you suddenly realise how much steering is used.
Tiny's best advice for rookies to the salt was get your crew to catch you when you come back to the pits after your first run, lots fall off as they swing back into the pit area and forget no lock available  :-\

Both USA and Oz land speed organisations set min lock , I guess thinking it will reduce the speed wobble impact ???? doesnt do it for me , I prefer double dampers with plenty of lock to steer into a slide to get out of trouble.

The real impact I found is just putting bike off and on trailer or shifting around the workshop,    serious pain.    I will likely change my welded on lugs to adjustable like Dennis has on his, while foolin in the shed just back the screws out for some decent lock. Dennis probably been through the inconvenience and come up with the adjustable screws....I like it.

Also Scot, I know your a spark man, I finally got the power arc system sorted with help from Garry the owner.  Not sure what the deal will be on the dyno as normally the dyno uses a spark plug lead pick up for tach etc , apparently cant happen with this system cos it has 3 sparks, maybe the dyno pick up could be changed to the bikes tacho output wire ????? dunno will have to find out on the day.

I have used the tach output wire from the ECU to pickup the signal....that's all you can do on modern bikes with stick coils.

Credit goes to Dave Murre for my adjustable fork-lock screws................but thanks for noticing.............I just replaced them with SS units to cut down on rust.

I am waiting on you to 'test' the power-arc system.  Then may acquire instead of a Dyna 2000 ;)

With my Gerex multispark ignition, I used one inductive secondary pick-up on the #1 plug wire, and a second pick-up on the #4 wire. I don't have a method of using a tach output on my Dynojet??

Well I finally managed to get something on the u tube, hard for a technosaurus like me.

Please note after getting flustered trying to get the rollers sorted , getting a decent video clip went out the door and all I could get off one of the guys was a short phone clip just as it burst into life,      it is slightly rough as it is cold etc it wouldnt hold constant throttle without cutting out so lots of arm action to keep it going but after about i minute warmed up it sound nice held constant throttle etc revved clean / crisp to about 8 K

I was never meant to be a movie star, now I can do this u tube thing I will have another go as soon as the heat wave cools down
If your interested Go to utube type on "Honda 750 mellow yellow" and up she comes

Thanks for link hotdog, you are a true techno head ;) ;D

I asked around re the dyno tacho wire thingo, apparently it depends on the type of dyno , some use the no. 1 lead pick up, some can be converted to a tacho output wire from module and some dont need anything as they use the drum rotation pick up, so I'll have to find out what model this bloke has.
cheers johno

Taking video while parked or on the dyno is one thing...........................trying to keep the bike in the camera lens at 155-mph is another ;D

Hi Den,
wished it did rain :) lousy 40 plus all weekend.
I am all set to run the bike on her majesty's test track as I want to get 10 minutes of run time before I put on dyno next weekend.
Its just too hot to run the ol girl and where I live its too dangerous early morning or evening when it cools enough, bloody roos everywhere :'(

Just been busy doing the hundreds of little jobs ,  and sweating a lot.    I'm sure you understand Den
