Captain webber. ;D
I'm onto their web site now..... will let you know their responce, sounding like I'm heading up a creek in a barbed wire canoe.
ciao johno
Not a lot of technical info on their web site that I can find. I did notice they recommend a maximum spark plug gap of .032"? The Gerex ignition calls for twice that, but I admit I've only gone as far as .045". ;)

Hi Scottly,
The ignition mob got back to me today with this comment ; :(

Mark,

If you have a C4 for the CB 750 you would have 4 ST Coils 1 for each cylinder (you will need to know the firing order). Each coil will fire only in that cylinder giving full power to each cylinder and does not share the spark with another cylinder as in the normal wasted spark ignition but will also fire in its own cylinder in the exhaust stroke.

So to me Scottly your right and their full of it  ;)  their system is just the same as a normal wasted ignition as the modern wasted dual coils are really just two coils moulded together for secondary and they just share the primary.    Hope the spark is worth the effort.   Their claim to fame is the light sensor  pick up is more stable than a magnetic for more consistant , evan firing points.

Cheers Scottly, thanks for alerting me  ;)  johno

Spent all Sunday mounting the coils, was a simple job but fabricating is not my strength, some blokes just look at something and get it right first up, I'm like an old tart and cant make my mind up.

I am trying to beat the salt if thats possible by using all stainless brackets and replacing most of the bikes on the bike with stainless.

got them mounted, the mount plate acts like a brace in that modified part of the frame and braces it well.

Hope it works out Johno. I've been a little dubious about these ignitions. Not shore the light sensors would be up to the rigors and heat stress they would cop in the tough environment we are likely to subject them to.

Cheers,
Brian

I've yet to see a magnetic pick-up, either Hall-effect or reluctance, that displayed a +/- variance of 7 degrees with a strobe???

Now you have to make the tank fit over the coils............I'm seriously looking at an SL350 tank...........

Johno.........can you bend those clip-ons?  Try this...........hold your arms in front of you at about the current bar position. Now keep your thumb-knuckles steady and rotate your hands downward to an approximate 15 or 20-degree angle from vertical (similar to milking a cow)............but angled back to match the frame down-tubes...............notice how your arms, elbows, and shoulders all got narrower...........now rotate your wrists inward..........notice even more arm and shoulder narrowing.  If you measured the shoulder and arm width before.............it should be about 3 to 4-inches narrower when in the ideal speed-tuck position. I call that free HP and more MPH at the top end.

PS....remember to wax your leathers ;D

Changed the wheel bearings on my rear mag on the weekend, made the groovy tool and the retainers came out like butter.

Sorry for doubling up but I posted this on the wanted parts thread , BUT its because I am desperate, I need the front 19 inch matching mag.    I am having a blood rush so if you have one or know where to get one I'll pay the silly money for it,
Tease me baby !

Bastards! I weighed in at 100kg at the age of fifteen.
Had to nearly kill myself, ate through a straw for two bloody months and I still couldn't get under 95kg.
Off to do the Southern Classic this weekend.
Newmo and I won it in 2011 just before the accident then Newmo won it again with a mate of ours in 2012.
So the pressure is on and I'm still riding like an old chook. ::)

Cheers,
Brian

Hi Fatty,  ;D ;D ;D ;D when I was racing seriously, I weighed in at 147 lbs. The least I could weigh without carrying ballast was 126lbs. I had spent a small fortune making the bike light and thought, why am I making it pull 21lbs of body weight that it didn't need to.
I went to my doctor who was well in tune with what I was doing and he put me on three different diets over three weeks, not a bloody ounce came off. >:(
11 years later, the wife decided over night that she wanted me out of her life...three weeks later, I was 126lbs, WTF didn't she want a divorce 11 years earlier.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I'm now 155/6lbs and don't give a fcuk.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Back in the 70's I was training horses in the UK & Ireland, and was offered a chase jockey job.  At 9 stone I made Grand National weight, and at 5'8 towered over the regular jocks.  Figured I wanted to live longer so I declined.   Can't say I'm the brightest bulb in the factory though, given I've decided to start racing sidecars as I approach pension age. ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D

You should think about ceramic wheel bearings.  Since every bit helps here and you're not going to be running this around in the rain, get the unsealed ones and use a light oil instead of grease to lube them.

Take care,
David
