got the cycle 2 inch (50mm) shorter than stock, ill see how it looks on the bike.
These are intended for the low frame set up with the Suzy GSX F back end 17 inch

I bought the suzy on ebay about 10 days and havent heard anything so I sent email yesty and some lady got back to me saying her partner is now an ex and she is selling his bike stuff off on ebay and when she gets the $ from paypal she will send the parts ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) :o

Kind of thinking this might be a ebay claim coming up ;)

Got my pistons back from HPC couple of weeks ago, skirts baked moly and tops ceramic.
might need this if the weather is hot.

NP Johno, they won't look so purdy next time you see 'em, the skirt coatings tend to wear off in a hurry after a good floggin'

I'm going to stoke mine up on unleaded tomorrow night, fingers crossed, although its been spun over 20 or so times , it hasn't had the opportunity to fire yet.
Last time I was at this stage, I needed clean undies, the BOV do that when they go off for the 1st time (igniting metal shavings that were stuck to the starter motor @ the time,making for purdy orange sparkles, and giving both me, and a mate belly concussion, lol)

Got me some bits, will mount the damper while the mock up engine is in to check for clearance etc.

used a stainless comp plate and trimmed it to a slight butterfly shape like the pushbike frames used to be, used a stainless filler rod.   Thats one part that wont rust ;D

All done and squared away.

Now to strip the frame back to nothing , paint and start the build all over again.

Engine finished mid Jan,     frame finished end of Jan.

That US Postal service is awesome, I have received over 40 parcels from USA over the last 3 months and the only one hasnt made it, that was the clutch damper rubbers from M3 racing Mcgraw,    funny isnt it I had vibes when I was doing the deal that something was going to happen ;)

From Europe I had 4 parcels sent and only the 5th gear from Rob at Voxhonda didnt make it , I havent given up on Robs parcel arriving yet as I post takes about 4 times longer from Europe than US.

I have to stick to the dealine though so as of the first Jan whats not here is not in, the rubbers wont make any performance diference  but the 5th gear is ultra important as with the early 5th overdrive it wont pull in top at those type of speeds just hold any RPM dropped in from 4th. Will try and adjust with sprockets and run in 4th.
Got the undercut gears from Cycle X so should hold the load OK.

Looking good mate but I'm not sure you need to worry about that lower 5th gear.
The reason a stocker wouldn't  pull that high gear was three fold, crap aerodynamics, not enough power and to heavy.
You will no doubt have addressed these three issues from the looks of things and coupled to a high end cam that will lift the power that bit higher up the rev range, you shouldn't have any problems pulling it.

Also, looking at the top pic on this page, you haven't done anything about the top shock mount on the left of the frame. (that's if you are still going with the K arm)

Don't mean to be hijacking a great thread but just gotta say...

Not uncommon at all for "deals" made with McGrew to go South. He still owes me CR750 oil tank mounting brackets that I paid for over 2 years ago. He promised to ship many times, including on this forum, but never shipped them. A real class act. I know, I know, bring on the flames! Just not in this thread. Start a new one if you want to clock me on this issue.

You are not missing anything regarding his clutch damper "rubbers". I bought a set and they appear to be sawed from some type of plastic rod instead of a harder rubber. Actually had saw marks on the ends. Don't know what they are for sure but I wouldn't run them.

KMB69.....you spotted my cryptic message, well done grasshoppper, well i'll put that down to a donation and get it out my head.

Sam the man,  your so observant , yes the ol top mount is still there, just waiting for this Suzy back end to arrive ....if it ever does ........ just in case , nothing a 5 inch grinder wont fix quickly though.

Thanks mate ! all good.

Rob from Voxonda was stressing about the 5th gear and contacted me but I'm sure the xmas rush with the usual 4 week delivery from Europe have combined to tease us both.  I'll let you know Rob.

Also it is the time to be merry, the time of the year for reflection on whats just happened and a reminder of family we need to be responsible for.   One of the most quoted sayings on this forum is life gets in the way, so true, but a bloody  good  reason. For some on the forum Time to think of Fun times in the past and reflect on those great memories. Dont be afraid to share them.

Drilling out the gear box oil gallery plug as per Mikes suggestion.

went to fit the cycle x primary chain manual tensioner but had to just take a couple of mm of the casting to fit, them medium strength loctite other wise might end up like bears tensioner.

doesnt show in the pic but I was worried about the salt effect over time so I poured some poxy over the top cases then a primer followed by a coat of paint.... looks #$%* but hopefully will stop corrosion

crank all cleaned up and the grub screws in with loctite.

just for your info I machined the crank to lighten, copied ape and cycle x, after  machining then put on balancer it was about 80 grams out of balance and just ground off that much on a couple of spots.
