now for the frame, hopefully have roller by end of weekend and carbs on, I have to test it on the road by following Sunday to make it a few days later, nail biting stuff.

We had 80mmm rain today , better than 110 to 115 deg heat like last few weekends.

Making good progress Johno.
The rain made it here last night, now I can leave the house and have a crack at my gear box.

This is a little late in the piece given your time constraints,  but I'll throw it out there as a discussion point anyway.  :)

Back in the early nineties when I was running around the southern half of Australia chasing speedway meetings, we would run light plastic discs that where used on trotting gigs to cover the wire front wheel of our sidecar.
While I wasn't averse to leaving a few tire marks on a passengers helmet or leathers, unlike some others I draw the line at chopping up appendages.  ;D

Question.......... Would those plastic discs cut down on drag it they where fitted to Johno's wire wheels?

Cheers,
Brian

7.B.10 Wheels:
Wheels shall have a minimum nominal diameter of 15 in. or be OEM except in the Sidecar and
Streamliner classes. It is highly recommended that strict attention be paid to wheel alignment, wheel
balance, spoke tension and tire run-out. Non-cross ventilated front wheels are not allowed except in the
sidecar and streamliner classes if the wheel is fully enclosed by the body work. It is REQUIRED that front
wheels be cross ventilated by an area equal to at least 25% of nominal rim circle area. Non-cross
ventilated wheels rear wheels are allowed. Wheel discs may be installed on the rear wheel only, and must
be installed in a workmanship like manner. Installation methods will be closely scrutinized. No front wheel
discs are permitted.

Ricky racer !
did you recognise the wheel ?

Front end on , including the fork brace , front end went on well, used fancy anti corrosion goo on every nut and bolt, used stainless almost every where.

love the name, but there's nothing mellow about this build.  Top work thus far, I'm hanging on every update!

Everyone thinks Chuck Norris is bad, but Chuck Norris has not meet Lucky either.  Lucky will round house kick Chuck back to 1969 and pop a wheel with the 1st sandcast while shotgunning a PBR!
