Looks good Johno, here's to you having some better luck this time round - you'll go well.

Looking GOOD Johno  ;) , almost too good to use  :o
I use spiral lock clips in my HD, maybe they are available in smaller sizes ? , no way they can fly out (hard enough to dig out once there in)

On the 750 I have gone for a different back end, 6 inch longer swing arm, 19 inch front wheel on back, cb 125 R disc and caliper etc, flirting with the rules by having some style in my rear fender / seat combo.  Got to be catefull or if deemed aerodynamic puts me into PS class or partial streamling , tougher record.

Johno, have you got any plans to check the timing on the dyna..? How is it fired..? hall, digital, dare I say it...optical. What I'm trying to say is- can you check each individual cylinders firing interval with a laptop for that Dyna.?

Hi Hotdog,
I wasnt planning on doing anything special with regard to checking the setting of the timing, was hoping to get something sorted so I didnt have to worry about synching the cylinders.  chose the dyna 2000.with matching coils and leads etc.  cos it was cheaper than the MSD  :)  it does have the ability to have 4 preprogrammed advance curves in, and those curves can be modified by laptop if desired.
It also can synch cylinders 1&4 and 2&3 if you have a need to do that.   Most of the 4 stroke cranks are well indexed unlike say 2 stroke cranks which are often 2 or 3 degrees out after a rebuild so wasnt planing to use the function. Dyna promote it as an ability to assist in temp control of middle cylinders but at this stage Ive gone from trying to be a  hero to just trying to get to the other end of the lake. ::)

Unless I have issues on the dyno I will start with timing off no 1 as usual, no index checking.

To find out the timing variation on the 4 coil power arc system I had to put a degree wheel on the alternator end and rotate the crank and watch for the spark to zap on each cylinder while observing the angle it fired.  Discovered the  20 deg or more variation between 1&2 and 3&4 .   It was hard at slow speed so I used an air drill on the crank end and a strobe light on each cyl lead

Interesting the unburned fuel in the exhaust made for real horny exhaust noise, pity it was so slow.  :(

With available ignition programming..............the dyno-test should indicate the 'sweet-spot' but you may want to stay near stock for starting and warm-up........and maybe the lower gears.

I don't know your rules..............but suggest bringing the tail to a point (upside-down canoe-shaped) or rounded...........and extend the tail as far as the rules allow.

Looks like new shocks...............check the sag with the rider weight and then full compression to have clearance under the tail...........my springs were good on first check.........then sagged after a few bumps...........

Waiting to see your dyno-chart ;D ;D ;D

Thanks John and Mike,  just going through thoughts in my head is all - would like to see this thing kick arse, especially after the time and $ invested.

I agree johno, crank indexing shouldn't be an issue - I didnt realise the power arc was 20' off..? What did they say when you presented that fact to them..? Or am I bringing up the past here....

"Deemed advantageous" related to anything FORWARD of the rider Johno, the rear has limits on how far it extends in relation to the rearward edge of the rear tyre, and it's height

Thanks for the words of encouragement folks ;D

I'll make a statement I can be held to. If the bike is still running mechanically sound after the next speed week, I'll send it over to the US so some of our forum folks can have a play at Bonny and give Dennis some company.
I intended to do that this year but things didnt turn out as expected,  ::)
