Head gasket replacement parts checklist...

What else do I need??

I have a good torque wrench

on order:
  • head gasket
  • head cover gasket
  • those damn rubber pucks
  • breather cover gasket


I need to get
  • O-rings for the oil jets (#17 in top pic)
  • the 11x2.5 O-rings for the studs (#10 in bottom pic)

Clean the small oil nozzles, no.6 in the head pic. Lift them and blow them free, the other oil channels too.
They have very small holes that can be clogged with silicone or other small parts like rubber from the tensioners.... I use gasket sealer under the pucks. All 4 times I have done it 25-30 years ago :-)
